Mindfulness and Bodywork Series with Cheryl Drake-Bowers and Kathy Babula

Kathy Babula began her mindfulness meditation practice in 2008 under the guidance of Guru Ranjit Deora, a native of India and student of Guru Dhirendra Bhramchari whose students also included Indira Gandhi.  Having completed Mindfulness Meditation Teachers Training through Charlotte Meditation, Kathy promotes the unique experiential method of teaching and learning that Ranjit Deora's lessons ensure. Through purposeful self-exploration, practitioners learn deep breathing and meditation techniques as well as mindfulness skills that lead to relaxation, clear thinking, better sleep and increased satisfaction in daily life.  "Relax the mind, relax the body" becomes even more powerful by combining mindfulness meditation and manual therapy. This combination brings our attention immediately to the present moment. 

Kathy is an instructor at Charlotte Meditation, Director of Education and teacher for Youth Meditation, an organization dedicated to bringing mindfulness meditation into local schools and has completed coursework that includes Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Mindful Educator Essentials (Mindful Schools, California).  She looks forward to partnering with Cheryl Drake-Bowers to create the ultimate journey of self-discovery for you.
